About the Project

Raising Awareness · Strengthening Communities · Connecting Nations

Project Background

The RAIN (Raising Awareness Against Natural Disasters and Improving the Network of Volunteers in Local Publics) project aims to build awareness against natural disasters, strengthen the volunteering spirit, and encourage the active participation of youth in disaster management processes.

It is implemented through the collaboration of universities, public institutions, and non-governmental organisations from Türkiye, Portugal, and Italy. Financed under the Erasmus+ KA210-YOU programme, the initiative includes training on pre-disaster preparedness, coordination during a disaster, and post-disaster resilience.

Project duration: May 2025 – November 2026, with Learning, Teaching & Training activities (LTTs) hosted in Türkiye, Portugal, and Italy.
